The path to health and wellness is a never-ending quest, but I have discovered that the more baggage I manage to release along the way, the more serene and beautiful the journey. It’s not enough to just give lip service to the act of letting go. You have to actually let it go…all of it. Especially those annoying tapes that keep looping in your head when a familiar irritant presents itself. I recently found myself in one of those insane scenarios where the more I tried to clarify, reason and create an amicable consensus, the more ugly the energy became. Like a Fellini movie, where up is down and down is deep down.
Those tapes started running…maybe if I do this, then there will be a better understanding. If only I communicate better, placate more, and even plead for mutual respect and amiability, then we can all evolve to a better place in the sunlight. Never gonna happen, no matter what I do or say. Let it go! So be it…love and bless and moving on.
The good news is that it didn’t take me as long as it has in the past to let go of insane situations and move onward. I feel happier and lighter having released the toxicity that was invading our tranquility. There it is – proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Poco a poco.
Release, release, release…all that no longer serves my highest light.
So, what to do to fill the void left from the loss of all that negative energy? First is diet. I have definitely gotten a handle on the culinary aspects of our plant base, whole food lifestyle. But I try to keep it fresh and new. I’m taking an online cooking course to enhance my repertoire of recipes, and it’s been inspiring. Buon Provecho!
Another important puzzle piece of my life is creativity. I’ve just set my painting studio up in the casita and look forward to starting my next oeuvre…which won’t be for awhile because I am rewriting my debut novel. I’m traveling to NYC soon for more meetings with publishers. I come alive with the energy of the City, and cannot wait…wouldn’t want to live there, at least not anymore. Did once upon a time, but that was a lifetime ago.
And then there is the environment…that space where positive energies can free-flow along with the butterflies and hummingbirds. So we are in the last phase of building our tropical oasis in paradise. And for me, the best phase…full of exotic colors and rich textures. A space where we can thrive without engaging in the Trumpian behavior beyond our walls. We are building it, and the mariposas have already arrived!
