Je suis une Sorcier Blanc!
Today is my birthday based on the 260-day Mayan calendar. Unlike our Gregorian calendar, the Tzolkin calendar mirrors the gestation of the womb rather than the movement of the planets. The Tzolkin is made up of 20 archetypes celebrated over 20 days. My archetype is White Wizard of the North, representling the Mayan jaguar shaman, and encompasses all seer-healers from all societies, including master intuitives of our times.

I realize that this may be far more information than many (most?) want/need to know, but it resonates dramatically with my own personal journey. I spent most of my life, from kindergarden through law school and beyond, trying to amass a wealth of intellectual knowledge. In the process of all of that learning, I ignored and/or underestimated the power of the wisdom of the heart, and aligning that wisdom with my mind. What good is it to know the teachings of a Ghandi or a Mandela, if we cannot practice it in our daily lives? What good is understanding the importance of kindness and forgiveness if we do not apply it to ourselves and everyone we connect with, every single day with every breath that we take?
As I continue my journey for wellness and spirituality, I make it a daily priority to try to consciously align my heart and intuitive knowledge with my intellectual storage bin of info. I want to become that person who is kind and gentle, loving and forgiving, above all else. I want to send positive energy to everyone I know, and to all those whom I do not know. Our energies are a powerful force, and can destroy in the blink of an eye if we are unaware and/or irresponsible in our thoughts and actions.
So, I invite all of you to join me on my birthday and align mind and heart…
