J’aime beaucoup Avignon!

I have been in Avignon since Friday, and have found a home base and a rhythm.  Today I am moving from Hotel de l”Horlage (a conventional hotel in the heart of the city), to a “maison”.  I was intrigued and hesitant at first, but I am thrilled to be moiving into a 16th century “home” with 8 rooms and a couple who host their guests in a very warm and welcoming way.  After seeing Maison Banasterie, I decided to stay in Avignon for the duration, and take day trips to the surrounding sites, some with a guide and some solo on a train.

I have to share my experience last night at a harpsichord concert in a 16th century church.  The music by Bach, performed by a world renowned German (!) harpsichordist, together with the unbelievable murals and statuary in the eglise, made for a truly ethereal evening.

I am meditating and giving thanks every day for all of my blessings and my good health, and send love and gratitude to all…

P.S. I am enjoying the French bread and croissants, gluton or not. Love Et le Cote du Rhone rouge est magnifique!
