Flooding in the desert comes to mind. At least, before I moved here it seemed to be an oxymoron. Now it is just seems to be part and parcel of the monsoon season. Along with high humidity?! Who would have thought? At least my hair frizzing up is not a problem, at least for the duration of this monsoon season.
We actually enjoyed a lovely day at the lake yesterday, sitting on the boat, listening to the rain patter (and sometimes pour) on the canvas top. It was COOL for a change…the air temp was ten degrees lower than the water temp. Red letter day for me! No sun to worry about, which after radiation can be more of a problem for us glow grads. Cool breeze, cool raindrops, just plain cool!
So, prepping for another marathon day at the Mayo next week. I just found out today my appts were rescheduled to the day we are flying to St. Martin…it’s always sumthin’. We’re taking a spontaneous trip to the tropics in honor of David Hynes, my nephew by choice, who just graduated magna cum laude from Tulane law school. Life is short, as they say, and any excuse for a partay! Have a wonderful week.
