In the “Be Careful What You Wish For” department, several months ago I had wished for “new and better” hair after I lost my old hair during chemo. I was so excited to see hair growth a few weeks ago, until on closer inspection, I realized that my hair is growing UP. As in up, into a mohawk hairstyle. Are you kidding me?! At least it’s healthy, as it should be given all of the Wen and Argan Oil I use on it daily. But why, oh why, is it growing up, defying gravity and all fashion dictates for a woman of my maturity and sense of style??
Well, it’s still extremely short, and I can only hope that it will grow weary of holding itself up and finally lay down into a more appropriate, salon-sanctioned style for moi! Otherwise, I will look like this picture sooner or later. Oi! I know it’s silly to be so obsessed with such mundane trivialities as hair given the bigger picture and all. But hey, “I Am Woman”, and c’est la vie!
