Sedona Road Trip!

I have been missing the energies and peace (and most of all Blue Monkey) of Sedona terribly, so I drove up yesterday with the intention to create some new synergies.  When one door closes, as they say.  In order to give my trip a direction and purpose, I signed up for a meditation class.  It also didn’t hurt that it was significantly cooler up there, by fifteen to twenty degrees or so.  Still, 100 degrees is hot, no matter how you slice it. Or bake it, or fry it.

Back in the ’70’s, I’d just never gotten on the TM train.  That’s transcendental meditation for those of you too young to remember.  Even the Beatles were practicing it back in the day.  For whatever reasons unknown to me, the concept now resonates for me, and I have welcomed it into my life.  At least for awhile, as I see if I am able to incorporate it into my daily routine.  So far, so good.  Woke up and meditated this morning before doing anything else (except for peeing and feeding the dogs, who put food above all else in life.) Even the Mayo (and by extention the AMA) is recommending meditation to all of its patients no matter what the ailment.  West (finally) meets East?

So, a heartfelt thanks and quick shout-out to my meditational muse, Sarah McLean. (www.sedonameditation.com)
