We are officially in triple digit weather here in Phoenix. Now is the time that all good snow birds pack up and head for cooler climes up north. H headed north today to CO, much to his dismay, where snow is forecast for Wednesday. My golden retriever and I wish we were there. She would be carving snow angels in the meadow, while I would be snuggled in front of the fire with my computer. Our lab is a desert dog, through and through, like H, so he’s happy as a bloomin’ cactus to bask in the summer sun, black coat and all.
Week two of four starts today. Radiation is not as easy peasy as predicted or promised, but then again, what is? Fatigue and serious muscle aches are predominant. My muscles and tendons actually feel like they are shrinking, so that I have to stretch them open constantly to move about. I am sure that arthritis pain is much, much worse, and not temporary, so I’ll take my lumps and like ’em!
Finished my novel synopsis and query letters this am, so life is good and every day brings me closer to the happily ever after chapter I so look forward to. Or maybe I’m already there?!
