Kiss a Survivor

Today I am going to celebrate a lovely woman and survivor whom I met a few years ago at Warner Brothers while visiting my long time friend BJ…BJ’s dear friend and Creative Director at Warner Bros. is Linda Salvati, a lung cancer survivor.

Almost five years ago, Linda was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer called BAC.  This is a very rare type of cancer that comes to men and women who have never smoked.  It may have genetic ties to estrogen in women, but research is still underway.

After beating the disease, Linda has vowed to help others win the battle by helping to raise money for lung cancer.  Last year she and a couple of co-workers made succulant wreaths, and all proceeds went to Cedar Sinai Lung Cancer research.  In addition, Warner Bros. contributed $500 dollars for an employee volunteer grant.  This year, Linda designed her motto “Kiss a Survivor” and made these wonderful and stylish t-shirts.  Again, all proceeds will go to research (90% for lung cancer and 10% to all women’s cancer) and Warner Bros. will contribute once again.

If you are interested in supporting Linda and her campaign to augment cancer research, here is the link to purchase a T-shirt:

H and I have our shirts and I must admit, the idea of being kissed by anyone and everyone for being a survivor fills me with joy.  We need more love in this world, and I for one will wear my T-shirt with pride and anticipation of receiving many kisses!

Love and light to all.
